Make your day with laughter reminds me of the book byNorman Cousins called. “Anatomy of an Illness”
Anatomy of an Illness as Perceived by the Patient: Reflections on Healing and Regeneration
Below are some things that made me laugh!
The Gods Must Be Crazy is one of the funniest movies I have every seen. It is all sight gags. And these are not the hitting people on the head sight gags, this is life lived by the characters in the movie. I loved it so much I bought it. I totally embarrassed my children by taking them to the movie and sitting there laughing just before the sight gag happened. Of course, they were teenagers at the time, so everything I did embarrassed them.
Another book that made me laugh so hard I took it in the bathroom, was the book Bunnicula.
I bought it for my fourth graders when I was teaching fourth grade and I wanted to teach them about imagination, and homonyms. I had to get ten copies because all my kids wanted to read it during reading time. And they all laughed hysterically. I love books that do that! This is the story as seen by a dog.
“This book is written by Harold. His full time occupation is dog. He lives with Mr. and Mrs. Monroe and their sons Toby and Pete. Also sharing the home are a cat named Chester and a rabbit named Bunnicula. It is because of Bunnicula that Harold turned to writing. Someone had to tell the full story of what happened in the Monroe household after the rabbit arrived.”
Bunnicula: A Rabbit Tale of Mystery (Bunnicula and Friends Book 1) Kindle Edition
Book 1 of 7 in Bunnicula and Friends (7 Book Series)
I also want you to know that I read the entire series. It was rife with funny writing, like “The Celery Stalks at Midnight”.
And, just to finish this page off, I’ll end with another of my favorite places to read is in the bathroom. I have, behind the toilet, a book of clean jokes. It’s called 300 Best Jokes: Funny Joke Books for Adults and Teenagers.
